Whether it&#8217;s to save space in our new home, to simplify our daily lives or simply to make an ecological gesture by not throwing them away, it&#8217;s important to take the time to get rid of superfluous items before the big day. <\/p>\n<p>Here are a few tips to help you get rid of unnecessary items before a move:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make an inventory of your items: before you start sorting, start by making an inventory of everything you own. This will help you visualize the scale of the task and better organize your sorting. <\/li>\n<li>Adopt the Marie Kondo method: take inspiration from Marie Kondo&#8217;s famous tidying method by asking yourself the following question for each object: &#8220;Does this object bring me joy? If the answer is no, then it&#8217;s time to part with it. <\/li>\n<li>Donate: rather than throwing away your unwanted items, consider donating them to charity or to friends and family who might need them. You&#8217;ll be doing your bit for the community and lightening your boxes at the same time. <\/li>\n<li>Hold a garage sale: if you&#8217;ve got lots of things to get rid of, why not hold a garage sale? It&#8217;s a great way to make space and earn a bit of money at the same time. <\/li>\n<li>Reuse and recycle: before throwing something away, think about whether it could have a second life. For example, an old piece of furniture could be given a makeover or transformed into a decorative object. If not, consider recycling it to limit your impact on the environment.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By following these few tips, you&#8217;ll be able to get rid of unnecessary items before your move and tackle this new stage in your life with greater peace of mind.
